About me-Merilee Dodson

I am a mental health consultant and play therapist by profession and have published a children's book about special needs. Before becoming a therapist I worked for many years in the public school system as a sign language interpreter and advocate for special needs children. I hold a BA in Family Education and an MA in Counseling.

I am the mother of a 22 year old Downs Syndrome son, and a 23 year old daughter who holds a Zoology degree from Michigan State University. These two magnificant human beings are by far my proudest accomplishments, my strength, and my inspiration.
